DISCOVER AYACATA PARADISE
On Gran Canaria there are different areas where one can practice Traditional Climbing. Ayacata is the best place for it. There you can practice both Free and Aid Climbing and there are some Sportive Climbing sectors as well.
In this rock paradise we can find multipitch routes that ascend through fissures of volcanic conglomerate. Here are the oldest routes on the island. The most popular ones are reequipped and in
perfect condition, others may have an occasional rusty nail, but for the most part are all in good condition. This makes Ayacata a dreamland for traditional climbers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, who can enjoy a route at their level and the beautiful natural scenery.
The routes start from the town, and diagrams can be found in the bar “Casa Melo”, located in the Ayacata intersection.
