What customers say about The Rainforest Tour

A very special and great adventure What's so special about it you ask? Okay
let's start with our guide Angélica: Not
only was she really knowledgable in
everything about the island, especially
its history and the local flora and fauna,
no she also told us about these things
with a great enthusiasm and passion in
a really sympathic way, which made this
real fun. Secondly, we also had a really
great mixed group and it was great
getting to know them a little bit and
spending the day with them. And last, but
not least the experience itself. We visited
the beautiful city of Firgas, with water
steps running through it and a great
view. Then the highlight, the canarian
rainforest, the laurisilva, which is a very
different environment from anything else
l've seen here, you'll have to see that
one in person. You can also bathe there
in mountain spring water, don't jump in
there with goggles 🙂 Later we went to an
ecological farm in the vicinity and had a
delicious lunch with lots of fruits from the
farm. And it still wasn't over, last but not
least, we visited a natural swimming pool
and swam there as well. All in all a very
cool experience I wouldn't wanna miss,I
highly recommend it!

Magical way to experience the real Gran Canaria! I don’t think I can quite put into words how outstanding this excursion is!

Our tour guide for the day, Angélica, was a stand-out point for us. She was friendly, humorous and so knowledgeable. It was obvious that she was enjoying the experience too in a genuine way. Nothing was forced and she made everyone in the group feel welcome. Although we’d booked the English tour, we were actually the only Brits in our group! But this was not a problem as she made sure everyone felt part of the group.

The stop on Firgas was beautiful and we learned a lot about the Canary Islands and the municipalities of Gran Canaria.

The actual rainforest hike itself was magical. What an experience! Despite it being a really hot day, Angélica made sure we went at a pace that suited everyone. There were some bits that were a bit more physical and involved scrambling over some rocks or traversing waterways but nothing you couldn’t do without taking your time. She shared so many facts with us and made sure to take pics of us too.

The lunch stop at the eco farm was brilliant. We’ve never been anywhere like that before! We got to eat a fantastic lunch of fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and cheese: I know this doesn’t sound filling after a hike but trust me, it was delicious and just what we needed. We then had a quick tour of the farm itself which was really interesting.

The final stop on the coast to swim in the natural pools was the perfect way to cool down after a hot, long day.

Honestly, I cannot recommend this tour enough. It isn’t just the best thing we’ve done on our trip to GC but by far the best thing we’ve done on any of the 3 Canary Islands we’ve visited!

Please, please, please book yourself onto this and experience GC away from the somewhat ‘tacky’ tourist traps found elsewhere. Brilliant day!

A really enjoyable day out! I had wanted to go on a tour through local eyes which introduced me to new aspects of Gran Canaria, and this one really delivered. Our tour guide, Victor, was excellent, full of energy, fun, knowledgeable and really tried to make this as personal an experience as possible. I loved this trip, the group, guide, locations, food (thank you Pino for your beautiful food at your Eco Farm) and people we met. Rounding the trip off with the natural pools was the icing on the cake. Thank you to Victor, Ana, Pino and Climbo for a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this trip, especially if you wish to visit a section of the north of Gran Canaria.

A fun day This was a very good way to see some of the northern parts of the island.
The rainforest part was nice but would probably have been more fun to do on a really hot or rainy day.
My absolute favorite part was visiting the organic farm.
We had a fantastic guide, who hade a lot of knowledge about the different islands in the area and their history. She gave many fantastic tips on what to do on the island. Strongly recommend making such an excursion early in the trip to be able to get tips on things to do for the rest of the holiday!

Rain forest walk and lunch Our tour group was 15, not the stated maximum of 8. This however, meant our guide was not driving so we probably got more Info as she didn't have to watch the road while talking. The tour was informative and we enjoyed the walk up the valley. Lots of information about the local area and plants throughout the day. There are some spots where it is a scramble over rocks or trees so not for those with mobility problems. The dip in the pool was enjoyable, unfortunately mother nature was against us for the planned dip in the sea at the end but options of a walk or coffee were quickly arranged. I appreciated the provision of gluten free bread at the tasty meal of local produce which I shared with another guest who hadn't made a request for some. The finca was interesting and I wish the owner well in his venture.

Great local places, taste local food/drinks, amazing views and the best trip guide ever ☺️ The trip was really great, our tour guide Marine was doing her job with love and passion, everything what she said was so interesting, about people living on the island, about history of the island. She took us to local places and we had really great fun during the all trip. We couldn’t imagine someone better for our trip guide. I am sure we will stay in touch when I will visit Gran Canaria again.

Rainforest tour with tasting The Rainforest Tour with tasting was the best-guided tour we've ever been on. We started at the 'Paseo de Gran Canarias' in Firgas. After a little sightseeing moment, we went to the rainforest. During the walk, the guides shared some information about nature and history of Gran Canaria. They explained everything with a lot of passion.
At some point, you could even swim in a natural swimming pool!! After the tour, we went to a little farm, where we had a little tasting of the fruit and vegetables that grow there. The food was delicious and the setting was very idyllic.
We really recommend this tour because you need locals to find gems like this rainforest tour. You can't find this in the typical touristy part of Gran Canaria, especially if you love being in nature.
Bonus: the guides were really funny and they treat you like family.

A Trip I will never forget I went to this trip over a week ago and I still tell everyone about it.
I really enjoyed EVERYTHING!

Starting with the small town Figueres and the history which was so interesting!

The walk through the rainforest was also so nice! I enjoyed being in nature so much because I stayed in the South of Gran Canaria where everything is so touristic. The Rainforest isn`t at all! Super nice! Highlight: Jumping into the refreshing Natural Swimming Pool in the Rain Forest!

What I loved about the trip was the finca and the farm. To see how we are still able to live in a natural way just blowed my mind. I was very impressed by this and the taste of the local food - well that`s how food should taste like!
That was the second best thing about the whole day!

The best thing about the Trip was our guide Marina.
These Days it makes me so happy to be with people living their dream, people with an open heart an people who are interested in history and how we can profit from it. She was the best and she really was my highlight!

I really recommend this trip if you enjoy nature or if you are feeling disconnected from it. It was so worth it! And I would do it again and again and again!

GREAT FUN ADVENTURE Thank you Marina & Victor! 🙏🏻❤️

I did the tour today, and I don’t usually write reviews but I had to take the time now, because I had a great day.
Communication was excellent from the beginning. Marina is the kindest and coolest person ever. Her knowledge made the tour very interesting, I learned a lot about the Canary Islands and we had a few fun games throughout the day. Everything you see on the pictures is exactly what you get, only, in reality everything looks even more stunning.

Marina and Victor made sure during the whole tour that everyone was safe and okay. They answered all our questions, even the rides between two locations were fun.

Food was very healthy and delicious as well in a really peaceful location where you have the chance to relax and just reconnect with Nature.
They “made” us to do a fun task (FOR FUN, and it was optional of course), but not going to share it here, you’ll have to experience it yourself.

I can only recommend this tour, if you want to spend a fun, adventurous, yet relaxing day in Nature, outside your tourist resort and want to learn about the islands.

Thank you again!
